About

Join us for the inaugural Philadelphia Mental Health Film Festival—a powerful single-night event celebrating the intersection of film and mental health, founded by an award-winning filmmaker and licensed therapist. This first-of-its-kind festival in here in Philly will shine a spotlight on creative storytelling that breaks stigmas, sparks dialogue, and fosters community around mental health awareness.

What to Expect.

Throughout the evening, filmmakers and attendees will engage in dynamic Q&A sessions with the directors of the selected short documentaries, dramas, comedies, and experimental films. Special panels led by industry professionals and mental health experts will explore the art and responsibility of portraying mental health on screen, offering unique insights into the filmmaking process and the therapeutic impact of cinema.

Awards & Prizes

We’ll present awards across multiple categories—Best Documentary, Best Drama, Best Comedy, Best Experimental, Best Student Film—and spotlight extraordinary achievements in filmmaking with awards for Best Directing, Best Audio, and Best Cinematography. Additionally, one film will be honored for delivering the most accurate portrayal of mental health.
